I is made of sturdy materials and allows me to turn, reposition and pull my mom up in the bed with ease. I plan to order the smaller one as this one is very large and the handles are far apart.

It's a little small, so definitely more suited for a child, but it seems to do pretty well. I got it to turn my grandma (she's only 4'10"), and it has worked. It washes nicely as well.

My dad is 99 and has been bed bound for about a year. Before we got this pad, it was difficult, almost impossible, to move him around. He's 6 feet tall and big boned.His caregivers use this pad to adjust his position so that he doesn't get bed sores, and to move him around for changing and bed baths. I just reordered a second pad, so that we can keep a clean pad on his bed at all times. The first one is still in good shape, after almost a year of use and washings.

The bed pad works well in assisting the home caregiver in moving their loved ones who do not have the strength to do so on their own. Placed correctly underneath the patient you can move them from side to side and it will assist you in changing bedding or keeping them from getting bedsores when remaining in one position too long.

I care for my husband who is bed ridden and has Alzheimer. It’s almost impossible to do anything with him. Now I can turn him over, clean and dress him, change his bedsheets, and so much more. Why? The side handles and the fact that the blue side of the pad allows for easier slide movement. It’s a learning process. I had no idea how to effectively use the pad, even though it was still a huge boon for me. My husband’s nurse and aide showed me numerous ways to use this pad efficiently all by myself. This is a necessity for anyone who cares for a loved one who has limited or no mobility. An aide or nurse tips are encouraged if you want the best benefits. Almost forgot. . . I am no longer straining my back.

This aids in pulling my Mother up in her hospital bed. The handles are sturdy and the padding is well made and sewn together. My Mother is now about 120 pounds therefore I can only vouch for a person her size as far as moving. I use this by myself. Having a second person would probably be ideal if moving a heavier person. Peace &love.

My dad had cancer and was bedbound for the last few months of his life. His skin was so thin and would tear every time he was handled or turned or pulled up in the bed no matter how careful we were. One of the sitters suggested this one and it made all the difference. The pads are very well made and sturdy with lots of handles so you get a good grip on the pad. It made caring for him so much easier and we weren’t straining so hard to handle him of pull him up and he was more comfortable asking us to do that knowing he wouldn’t be hurt and mishandled, especially as he became more fragile.

Post surgery, they tell you a big list of things you'll need. A grabber, a shower chair etc. But they don't tell you how every little wrinkle or lump in your mattress hurts. How having your PJs bunch up is so excruciating. And how little you will be able to help your partner move you.This pad is great. Smooth the bedding under it, place it with the tag up, and lay on it. Might take a couple times to figure out if you need to start with it further away, closer to you or centered. But then it's easy for your carer to position you on the bed. The handles are very strong. And this doesn't get lumpy easily, so even I can smooth it out.it also seems to be fairly sweat wicking. My memory foam mattress gets pretty warm sometimes, but I can still lay on this and put a heating pad across my hips and not get sweaty. Best tool for post-op comfort so far.

This pad is soft, comfortable and word be much more useful for positioning if it had a handle in the middle on each side, so that there were three sets. The two sets are just positioned too far apart.

This doesn't slide. It grips to the sheet. Even for a person of light weight, I don't see this sliding well to move them around. On the opis side, it is very waterproof and protecting of sheets below. He said it is very comfortable. It's very padded. What's not comfortable is feeling all the handles any time he moves because the pad is too narrow. I liked this but it didn't work for us.

It is very good to have side straps if two people have to move my husband. He is a stroke patient and cannot use his left side. If I am at home alone it would help to have the top strap so I can move him by myself. It is easy for me to clean the pad in the washing machine using cold water. Thank you for making this available.

One of the review features was "Absorbency"I use underpads, so that's not an issue.My Mom's 99 years old. Getting her in bed could be quite painful because she has hip issues.Her nurse said, Why don't you get one of those pads?I figured they'd be expensive. $25 was far less than I was expecting to pay.She needs a Stand Assist to stand up. I put this on the bed at an angle, hover her over it and sit her down. I can now move her legs half as much as I had to, and then I grab the handles at the bottom and swing her onto the bed squarely with far, far less pain! At 99 years old, less pain is a big deal.

You will be thankful that you have this when caring for loved ones. We used this while my father was ill and recovering. It enabled us to reposition him and move him as needed while caring for him. The quality is very good.We did not use it for incontinence, and preferred to put a disposable pad on top of it for simplicity. We did wash it, and that worked out fine.
