I bought this for my Dad who is in a wheelchair thinking that he could/would use it, but he just doesn't have the strength to stand or pull himself up even with a gate belt, so I had to return it. I want to leave a review because this was a very easy to assemble. Quality and sturdiness is A1, and for the price it will hold up for years.

A very good gait belt that is lightweight, easy to place on with a click closure. It has many areas hold around the belt securing stability of the individual. I would definitely recommend this gait belt for your loved one.

I couldn't have gotten my husband up after he fell out of bed without this. It allowed me to help turn him so he could get on his knees, then lift him up from the floor. I would likely have injured my back without this belt, or had to call someone for help in the middle of the night. During an illness prior to getting this belt I pulled him up from chairs by his clothing (pants or belt), but this is so much better!

This is the best Gait belt ever. The pulls on it save the belt loop on the persons pants and allows you to not pull on arms. There are handles all around it so you can get a grip from any angle. The hospitals and nursing homes should have these.

This is by far better than the hospital belts. With this belt, it is possible for my 115lb wife to grab a handle and lift, helping me stand, after knee replacement surgery, and in the bathroom. And, to make sure I don't fall when using the walker. Not sure what hospitals don't adopt this design, but they should.

This is an excellent product to use to aid someone from sitting to standing position and most helping when climbing stairs. This belt is made of great quality and the handles makes all the difference. You may need to tightening it often as it does become loose after repeated use but that’s not a big deal.

This has helped us not only use it to assist a family member up, but it has helped in many different ways. It helps take a strain off the care provider, but give the person needing the assistance a sense of security. Our situation was we could not put anything around the belly area of the body due to the large incision site. So we put it on the upper chest area. It was easier for the care provider to help the person up to a standing position, maneuver to a wheelchair, or bathroom as needed and also into and out of a car. It is also used to control the person as they were trying to walk. It is a good size belt easily adjustable. Has been a big help to the care providers.
