The belt is good, but the clip is too difficult to unclip

This waist band will work well when assisting clients on and off an aircraft.

This is my second order of this belt, because it has come to my attention that the original one I had, suddenly went missing! Not sure how, but I was glad to be able to get the same belt again! I have received lots of compliments on it by nurses, home health aides, etc. I like the grip handles and the buckle is easy to clasp and release. ( I don't really care for the steel teeth buckles).

Great aid to helping someone get up.

Was having trouble climbing stairs & could not pull myself up with handle. Belt allowed my husband to lift me a little while doing stairs. Helping me to continue exercising

I used traditional gait belts for 20+ yrs. I needed something easier for my parents to use with my grandma. This worked well for them. Easy to click/unclick. Handles made it easier for them to grab onto with less risk of skin tear or pinching.

Use to transfer and assist walking. Love the grip the handles provide
Kelli
The belt works well for giving the caregiver a place to hold on to as the person recovering from a stroke learns to balance, and walk again.
Diane T.
Like the clip style. Washes and dries well in machine

Maybe works out n someone really small, but on a medium sized person the strap is too thin.
Eliz. F
This is too big for a female; handles are a bit far apart for monitoring a small person. The belt requires cutting it down and searing the end. And there is no additional belt loop to tuck the overage into.
Dub N.
The buckle is hard to squeeze and my wife cannot do it. You need to have a lot of strength in your fingers. The belt needs a loop to hold the excess strap. I used shipping tape to hold it in place so that I did not have to deal with it all the time.

I recently had a fall from my wheelchair and thankfully I had this belt wrapped around my headrest and was easily helped back into my chair by 2 tiny, but strong women. No need for an ambulance. IMHO its already paid for itself.. Seeking the products for handicapped/elderly to help remove the guess work. A great gift idea.

Very helpful with rehab patient.

The buckle lost its "grip" after only 4 months, and would loosen on its own. The handles were uncomfortable against the back while seated in a chair or car. I would not buy again.
dekzan
Inferior to metal buckles. Plastic buckle slips making it unsafe.
Dawn Hardiman
It arrived on time-looks like picture and easy to use.

Very useful device for patient transfers. Well made. Buckle might be difficult for weak hands.

This belt seemed to be sturdy and the buckle easy to use. I was impressed with the design and of the handles on the belt. Unfortunate I didn’t keep it because it was uncomfortable for my mom to wear all day. I needed a belt that she would be comfortable wearing while sitting in a recliner. I didn’t want to have to keep putting it on and off every time my mom got up to walk around the house. For this I am giving it a 4 star

Easy to use love it

Like that is is very easy to adjust length. Made of sturdy webbed material and two easy hold loops to stabilize the person you are assisting. Very easy to use with the on and off clipping belt. I am a nurse and would recommend this for use for your loved one to keep them stable and prevent falls!

Simple, easy to use. Good for smaller body size. Convenient, nice padded straps. Nice! Nice price for quality .

I use this with my mom who has falling issues. She said this belt is more comfortable than her previous one. I like that it has a clip instead of having to thread the belt every time you need to use it.

This gait belt worked better than excellent during my mom’s illness. The handles are perfect. We took it to the hospital and the doctors and nurses were impressed and asking where we got it. Best I have seen. Easy on and off.

it took less than a month for the cheap plastic latch to break

Easily adjustable. Handles are useful. Clip is easy to use.

This works well to keep the patient safe. I like being able to grab the handles. Very sturdy and a good value for the money.

This belt fits better than the wider versions and has fewer hand loops than the others. My 88 y.o. mother (5 feet tall, 135 pounds, 38" waist) needed one after hip surgery. I tried a wide one with more "grab bars" but she refused to wear it because it was (1) uncomfortably wide and (2) made her "look like an invalid". She doesn't like having to wear one but she will at least wear this narrower and less ostentatious version. I'm back to get another only because 94 y.o. dad (5'7", 150 pounds, 36" waist) fell and broke his ankle so he needs one now too!

This gets used daily for OT for kids with disabilities (hippotherapy/using horses). It's hard to find a belt small enough for some of the kids, and we did have to have this altered to be small enough. But it is a quality belt and works well.
Susan
The concept is good but the belt kept riding up when I tried to lift my Luther from her waist to under her arm despite tightening it. Also bruised her too.
Auntie
This was such a great help in lifting my 85 year old dad. He fell down and we were able to lift versus having to call 911
Judith Killebrew
Ok at best. Fits smaller people. No padding. Grips are helpful. Easy to use buckle. Careful not to pinch.
Jason Evans
Got this for work at assisted living. Seems better the the tension buckle ones we have at work.

This doesn't work for larger clients

My spouse has difficulty standing and this belt really helps me get him upright. handles are soft and belt is comfortable enough to leave on during the day.
Marlene
I like the width of the belt plus the handles help. They are padded. By turning the belt you can place the handles in the best position possible for the caregiver to use.

I bought it for my mother to support her to walked after her knee surgery and provides great support and comfort

I bought this gait belt for my clinicals for CNA and it was perfect. I could easily use this to lift residents to and from the wheel chair or bed while using the handles without hurting myself or them. I would reccomend this belt to anyone getting started in CNA or clinicals. The residents also liked the handles compared to the older style with NO handles. It provided comfort and safety to older persons with fragile skin and bones. It does extended in size but it does wonders with the handles.

This belt is very versatile and easy to use. I like that it has the handles on the back of the belt. My husband has Parkinson's Disease and has just finished an intensive four-week therapy program. I want to encourage him to continue his exercises at home, so he doesn't lose what he has gained. The belt helps with an extra sense of security that he will not lose balance and fall during an exercise.

I never knew about these belts until my husband was getting physical therapy at a skilled nursing home. It has been a wonderful aid in helping me help him with getting up. The snap-in buckle makes it easy to put on him and the handholds in the back are absolutely terrific. I highly recommend this product for safety reasons (for him and my back).

This was an absolutely great thing to have while helping my mother with her physical therapy. She was very unsteady and weak and this belt allowed us to make sure she didn't fall and get injured.

This comes in real handy. I am a caregiver for my mom and this belt helps me with assisting my mom with walking and sitting. It also provides her with a sense of security. I brought this from the advice of her home physical therapist!

Bought this for my Father in law who has been having difficulty getting standing from chairs and bed. He has care givers who bring bring their own gait belt. got this one for family members to use when helping him. Seems well made. The plastic buckle makes it easy to put on. and take off.

I needed something to help my big boy with his hind end. This is a shorter strap so fits really well. It's comfortable for him so he has no problems wearing all day. The handles make it much easier to help him up. Washable! AND so much less expensive than the dog supports. I purchased a complete harness with hind end support and it was not comfortable and not adjustable enough. It was returned.

the plastic clasp broke fortunately i didnt get hurt

My husband is handicapped and has a hard time walking and sitting down then getting back up. It's good to help pull someone up with the straps for extra help. It's good to hold the person with going down stairs too.
Crystal Slebioda
It is not a sturdy belt to help immobile patients to stand or transfer.
Sam
I ordered this transfer belt when my Mom was coming to our home following a fall and rehab. We saw the one that they used at the rehab and I wanted one for in home use. I really like the easy quick release closure and the handles. We use it every time Mom is using her walker. I walk behind her and hold at least one handle. It is very comforting to know that if she would become weak or light-headed I can quickly hold her close and guide her down my leg to the floor as the instructions advise. Thank you very much!

Good product. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of length. The length is not good for a person of size. It would be the perfect product with handles only if it had more length. For my person, it was snug and you do not want a gait belt to be uncomfortable or they will not wear it.
Manuel Pent
The only caveat I would mention is the buckle is difficult to unfasten for someone with limited finger strength which is not really a problem since most times if the belt is being used there is a caregiver available to unfasten it.
Rolando Tiu
The handle needs to be more tighetr and not loosen.
Wade Whitehurst
So simple and discreet. Very strong material.
Adrian Smith
I bought this belt thinking it would fit my chubby father. As is did not I had to send it back for a refund. Absolutely no problems in sending it or getting the refund. This was made very easy. The belt was well made and just what I wanted, just too short.
Tammy Campton
Fast shipping. Seems solid made

Like this belt a lot. Really helps and is much better when holding on to my wife as opposed to looping hands inside and around a normal gate belt. Feels more secure by a long shot!
Marilyn L
We use this belt on my boyfriend when he exercises at home. Some of his PT exercises are for balance. I can stand right with him. The belt is security for when he loses his balance and I can “catch” him!
Charmaine
Easy to use and durable.

I am so glad that I ordered this patient belt. The two handles on the belt are very useful for assisting the my husband from the bed to a sitting and standing position. I don't know how I could have moved him without it.
Paula
Perfect for my mom's caregiver.. said it's great to get her a around, like steering.
Osmerlyn E Perez De los Santos
I liked this belt better than the regular ones, because of the two handles. It is easier to help lift patients whitout having to think of you are pulling on their clothes. Very helpful.
Michelle
This is very comfortable and easy to use for both the patient and assistant. Much more comfortable to hold onto the handles vs the belt alone. Easy to tighten.
Rico
I am a CNA and I faithfully use my gate belt when transferring patients and the handles make this very easy to use. My coworkers and supervisors were very impressed and our facility is looking into switching to this instead of the transitional gate belts we‚Äôve been using. üëçüèæüëçüèæ

Haven’t used much yet but it’s super helpful and convenient for CNA work.

It works great to move a wheelchair bound person from chair to bed, chair, etc. The handles make t handy to manage instead of just a plain belt.I would highly recommend it!

The product was fine except it was about 6 inches too short for my waist
