Our adult daughter is a wheelchair user and broke her kneecap before Thanksgiving. She will be in an immobilizer splint for 12 weeks, and the patient toileting sling has made it possible for my wife and I to help her with all transfers. A game changer that works like it says.

Have 2 other slings for our hydraulic lift but this one is the easiest to use. Have even thrown it in the washing machine and line dried. Still looks like new. A must have if you have to get your LO off the floor or make transfer.
The balls were great, and our dog loves them!
I’ve honestly not use this sling that was this comfortable. It made all the difference! I would highly recommend this for purchase.

This is a good product however, the belly strap buckle on a small person winds up under their ribs instead of in front. This is too uncomfortable. There is no way to adjust as the belt is fastened to the sling.ok for larger person.
Trails End Ranch
The sling is quite adequate. Instructions for use were NOT clear - we improvised - and it works. Need a hoist of some type. Good for on and off commode and into recliner chair.
RANDY T.
it tends to slip. ... maybe I am putting it on wrong but the legs are not padded and they bunch up when lifted - also the bands that attach to the lift are VERY stiff and difficult to maneuver into the lift attachment for MY lift anyhow... If we had not used it I would be returning it.

Did not work

Using this for my 92yr old father. Great for moving place to place with crossed over straps. Great for commode use with straps not crossed. Great support without leg straps for getting him to stand and regain strength from his stroke.

Either I ordered a size too large or it just doesn't work right. My husband's posterior kept slipping out.
Laurel
Great quality fabric. My only hope was that it came in a larger size.

My dad has dementia and we needed a sling that would be easy for toilet and showers, we have bought so many and none would work well. This sling is easy, feels safe and easy to remove and put in a patient. I would highly recommend. I tried it on my self and it feels safe, plus it has a seat belt which is extra security. I would highly recommend in watching YouTube videos for this sling since there are different ways in how to secure the patient. Very happy with the purchase

Our private duty caregiver requested we order this style sling for use with our new electric Hoyer lift. It provides a safe, comfortable transfer.
Guyinmo
Although the sling was a good quality product it did not meet the needs of my wife with MS. Even with the padding under the arms it still hurt for her and she began to slip through the sling. I realized at that point I would need to return the sling and get a different style.I was surprised you find out I needed permission from the seller (which was quickly granted through email correspondence). However, I had to pay for the return shipping which cost me $16 USPS Priority Mail. The fact that the buyer had to pay for shipping was not at all made clear at the time of purchase.

I used the sling to move my disabled husband. It worked great.I wish it weren’t quite so stiff.

I'm caregiving for elderly who cannot stand up. This sling with a Hoyer lift allows easy lifting and transporting. I'm planning on using this sling for standing exercise to strengthen leg muscle as well.

Used as the primary sling. Better than the basket for most applications.

This works great for moving my 200 lb son from bed to wheel chair. It is easy to get on compaired to a full body sling,

Es un arnés, muy práctico, muy fácil de manejar, es increíble su utilidad para su tamaño!!! Fue la solución que estábamos buscando hace mucho tiempo, sencillamente nos permitió darle calidad de vida a mi madre y a los cuidadores. Muchas gracias.

Doesn’t squeeze as like the other kind that goes on the outside of the arms
GatorRay
Far too much lift provided by thigh components so an immobile person with atrophic thighs will find this style uncomfortable Returned unused after brief trial
janice barron
We needed a new strap and found this one, the padding on the back and underarms is just what she needed, even though she’s only in it for transfer it’s so much more comfortable for my daughter.
Jane
bad- too much padding, straps not color coded good-width and stiffness on thigh straps .
c. poston
The padding is way to thick and very stiff.

I used this apparatus to hoist my mother up from her bed, and got it to work pretty well. A little expensive for me, but worth the money I believe!

A simple to use lifting sling once a body learns how to attach it to the patient.

This product is so easy to use compared to the one provided. It has saved my shoulder damaged by lifting.

I love using this sling. My husband has ALS and I use this sling all the time as it is so easy to get on him. Originally I bought it to get him on the toilet and shower chair but now I use it for all transfers as it is so easy to get on and off him.
PPesky
Excellent especially for toilet. But used also for transport from bed to chair/wheelchair and back. Patient is 200 lbs and the Large works for us.
Skipper
Worked good after we figured it out. Directions could have been a lot better.
Barbara S.
Used with the hoyer lift, this is easy to put on from a lying position (my husband couldn't sit up) and when he is lifted he is safe and secure. It is easy to position him either on the commode or on the wheelchair. Whew! It is so easy for me to manage and for him to use.
jacqueline
The product is great, I made a mistake and ordered the chair size instead of the bed size

Great. Replacement for one that is a bit more light with a cloth feel but this one is good. Would purchase, again.

Wife was sliding out the bottom. I couldn't figure out how to use it. Had to return it. Very well made product though. We bought same vendor, different style.
Rebecca Eckhart
Sling works well, padding is well placed. We like this one better than the fancy one medicare provided
JESS C.
Used this instead of the one the medical rental service provided which was more like a seat that you roll the person onto. When working with a heavyset person with limited mobility it's hard to roll them to get positioned especially for lifting onto commode chair but this one could be positioned when there laying on the bed or sitting on chair we were able to do transfer much faster and the thick padding made it more comfortable. This has no head support and is for use on a person who can support there head themselves. It's great for commode and wheelchair transfers. ( Used on a 250lb person.)

Did this sling ever make my life easier ! I had to have both of my titanium knees removed due to an infection. Until I get new knees, I'm confined to a wheelchair and ned a sing to hoist me. We had been using the sling with a hole for potty use. Every time I needed to use it, it was a chore getting it rolled under me. After 2-3 days it would get soiled and we had to wash it, so we had a few. It was very rough and was chafing my skin. I got 3 bedsores from the seams rubbing my butt. It was a nightmare.......Then I found this. Like night and day. This just slips behind my back, I lift my legs to put the leg sling under my thighs. I no longer have the torture of the body sling. It easily comes right off and I no longer need to keep the rough full body sling on. This is soooo much more comfortable, cleaner, and way easier to use. Hands down this is a winner. I am 5'0 and 93 lbs and I got the small. I have good upper body strength. The way the sling holds you, an elderly person could use this. Finally my bedsores are going away and we can freely get at my coxxix and butt to attend to the wounds the other sling caused. Straps are VERY stiff, it's only downfall.

I thought the strap was sewn on wrong, but I was using it incorrectly.

Good quality for the price. Same as pictued.

Easiest lift device we’ve tried so far. It’s nice to not have to get material directly under the person and great that there are no hard metal bars or hooks to worry about.
Boo & Boo
Painful. Not supported in a ‘normal’ sitting position. For completely immobile person, not appropriate.

If not perfectly installed, clients legs slip out of lower end of sling. client is then only left supported by non-padded chest strap.....

Husband is 6' and approximately 210 lbs. He had a mid thigh amputation on one leg and recently had a stroke, leaving him without use of the other. After watching You Tube videos on a U Sling, I ordered a medium which was the optimal fit for him.I ordered this sling for toileting after nearly strangling him using the poesy belt on the medical lift.I would give it 10 stars if I could. the ease of transfer and proper weight distribution was amazing and a huge relief. It was more comfortable for him and reassured him we were going to be able to manage going forward.

I am giving this three stars because I think this is a quality product that could be good for some people. It is well made and sturdy. But, it turned out not to work for us. I bought this sling for an elderly woman who has little upper body strength, and little control of her lower body. I (a fairly fit man) tested the sling on myself. Using the belt around my torso, I could not slip out of it whether the sides went under my arms or whether my arms were on the inside. So, I thought it would be safe for her. She has shoulder problems, so she didn't want to have the pads under her arms, wanting her arms inside the sling. We used it twice with her successfully. On the third time, she simply slipped through the strap, even though the strap was tight. She was unhurt, as we caught her. I think the problem is that her body above the strap is smaller than where the strap would best go around her for a lift. She has narrow shoulders, and she has so little muscle tone that when her weight shifted to the strap, her upper body compressed and she slipped through. I don't think this is a problem with the sling or the strap -- I think the problem is that the sling just wasn't right for this patient, who needs much more support than it provided. For someone with an upper body that broadens, rather than narrows, towards the shoulders, and with some muscle tone in the upper body, this sling would probably be fine.

Worked just as advertised but wish there were instructions

Purchased this unit so that one may have access to lower area of patient for clean up.......unit supports at upper back area with chest strap, pulling leg straps into position and criss-crossing straps, lifting the patient up slowly the straps slid to the back of the knees, and patient was being held from sliding to the floor by the chest strap.
Amy Stafford
My husband loved the comfort of the padded sides and the ease of freedom for toiletry.
jerry lanno
great product had no problems using it.

Bed to shower and toilet used with lift without underarm pain...nice padding.

Medical companies were unable to obtain this PERFECT, EASY TO USE, COMFORTABLE sling. It has made our lives so much easier! Whether in bed or in the wheelchair this lift is simple to position and use. We're so glad we bought it.

My father has been bedridden for years, and the mesh and straps of his regular Hoyer lift sling pressed hard and was uncomfortable for him. This padded sling spreads the weight around and was much more comfortable for him.
gpeterson
Great sling. Far more comfortable than similar mesh slings. I own both styles, being a newbie to Hoyer lift and sling usage. The padding and adjustable lift straps make use for first-timers easy with minimal training (youtube video suggested).

LIFESAVER!! Perfect for our needs! We use this for our elderly dementia patient that is no longer mobile. Love that you can put this on while shes still seated and not underneath. Perfect for bathroom/ bathing use. Just be sure arms stay on the outside of sling!
Deb J
This is a very sturdy and comfortable sling to use. I have only had it a short while. The straps are very stiff and can be difficult to hook and unhook to hoyer.. I hope they soften up a bit over time because otherwise this is a very nice, affordable sling.
kdskandles
I purchased this to use with my mom who can't stand anymore and it's so hard to dress her after using the restroom but with this sling and experimenting with her a few times it's turned out to be the best thing that I've purchased. The straps are stiff but I think after using it for a while that they won't be as stiff. The only thing that could maybe be better would be a small strap with velcro or a snap to keep the two side pulled to the front. She is really small and she tends to put her arms at her side and sometimes it pushes her arm toward the back.Overall a great find and after I talked to the company representative for a while I was confident that this was the one. They were very helpful and got it shipped the following day. I would recommend this.

My wife died before it arrived so I returned it

Tge pad are soft enough not to hurt the patient. You need something resistant for security and I believe this was a great purchase.
Allen J.
The sling is great! We are able to transport our 91 year old grandmother to the toilet and bed comfortably. It’s been a lifesaver compared to the sling we used before. Even the PT staff remarked on how convenient it is to use the sling.
D. Hiner
Easy to doff and don with minimal lifting of patient. Best sling I have used
peggybarber
product worked as it should

Much nicer to use than a full sling for transfers. Easy to remove once patient is in the wheelchair. Needed to cross the leg straps for better comfort
M.E.
I even use this in the garage to lift me unto the lawn mower. Nicely padded for bathroom use.

My sister has very heavy and sort of stiff legs and the straps always slide all the way to her crouch area, although I place the straps under her thighs close to her knees. I wish I could keep the straps where I want them when I lift her with the hoyer, because of this it also makes it a lot more difficult for me to pull her pants up and down without standing her up.
Devin W.
i wish i would of had this long before it has made caring for my husband easier
Marsha Montgomery
I wish I had not removed the belt before I realized that the straps are too hard and stiff. I tried washing them, but they have not softened up after three washings. The straps are so stiff that I am afraid to use the sling for my son because it could cut or abrade his skin. We have a few other slings and none of the others has such hard straps.
Peter Dredge
We bought the sling to transfer my wife into a new disability vehicle. It is far more secure and comfortable than any used prior, all at a very reasonable price.
Samantha Crish
This sling has saved us a world of pain. Previously we used the mesh cut out commode type sling provided with our Hoyer Lift which was horrific to use. This split leg sling has saved us some much time, energy and comfort for my father, The stitching and fabric quality is fantastic, as my father is 250lbs. There are 3 different settings for attachment to the Hoyer lift and this sling can be used on a lift that only has the 1 arm. The best part is probably the ease of use as all you have to do is lift the patient's thighs to slip the sling underneath. It doesn't require the person to full stand in order to be able to use it. Life Saver! Very happy with purchase.

Vere easy to get on or off in a bed or chair

I would have given the sling 5 stars (it does fit well) but the straps that go from the sling to the lift are extremely stiff. I thought I could soften them by washing the sling but the straps are just as stiff as before. It is now a backup sling.
VB
As the primary care taker of my 5ft 10in 233lb mother in law I was extremely worried about how to keep her comfortable while not hurting myself just taking care of her basic needs. This sling was the best the investment our family could have made. It totally eliminates rolling her side to side (which hurts her from the push and pulling) for changing as well as dressing. And allows me to properly clean her.
Alma F
This product is everything it should be. Quality fabric. Strong for the patient. The price was great. My friend thanks you and I thank you for the promptness in which we received the sling.

Fabric sling doesn’t hurt my legs like the mesh did
