It’s overall stiff and uncomfortable.

This design of this sling is the best ever. So much better than mesh too.
PBatchelor
Been using the sling a few weeks now and it works, lifts the person and we’re able to get them seated. I have a few concerns about the quality/safety. The straps seem thin compared to the body of the sling and the handle on the back has popped a few stitches and also seams thin. I would like a heavier duty strap and handle with double stitching.
Wilber
Sizing is all wrong. Did not fit patient.
Irena
This sling is very well made and the price is amazingly affordable compared to what mobility aid companies charge (one quoted $800!). Unfortunately, I had to return it because I found the portion that goes around the legs to be a bit too stiff and therefore slightly uncomfortable.
TheRoyalQueen
Great quality. It is a reliable product.
DB
Material too hard not soft hurt persons legs would like to return it but really don’t think they will take it back.
Doug
The straps on the left are different from the one shown in the picture, and will not stabilize somebody being lifted up from a sitting position
Laurel
Great quality fabric. My only hope was that it came in a larger size.
Marc
This is built great and works great. The straps are secure and comfortable to use. I would buy again if needed.
Charlotte Zimmerman
Great product need to order a larger size especially if the person has a catheter. Also, only 30 days to return. Need better instructions
James B.
It is to large for my patient.

I am so happy to have the client safe and relaxed in her sling with the head support. It's the first lift sling I've ever seen her smile in! It's great for toileting and getting her in her wheelchair comfortably with ease. Thank you so much!
Damien
I like it a lot works well for my needs
Sonia C. Funtow
I liked how sturdy and afford the sling is. I use it for my work as a caregiver with one of my clients.

Easy to use, quality material, easy to eipe clean. This sling fits our hydraulic bed lift perfect. We have the size small for our son and use it to get him into his wheelchair from bed and back out.Being this style sling makes it easiest to remove so he does not have to keep it under him in his chair. We have used this one daily for almost s full year and it is in perfect shape.
SUBU
The product sizing was perfect . I liked that one person could put sling around patient while sitting
Age At Home
While it is a good product, the caregivers were unable to use the sling. It was too stiff on the lift transferring to a wheelchair. Also, my wife said it was too stiff to sit on.

This was delviered a few weeks ago. I use it for my Dad who is mostly bedridden. His last mattress was very similiar to this one. I had that one for like 5 years and it worked great, but noticed that the middle of the mattress was going flat so i ordered this one. Like i said this new one is very, very similiar to the old one. Its only been a few weeks of using the new one....but so far so good. Very east to put together...and the pump is very good too.

Easily adjustable. Handles are useful. Clip is easy to use.

I hit the wrong sling in this order

Nice grey color. Very sturdy heavy-duty material, well made, very strong. My only complaint is that the material could be harsh on people with sensitive skin. Love the different straps that allow for different heights of straps. Works well with our hoyer lift that we use to potion my mother from one location to another.
Raymond York
A well recommended item for anyone that needs the help move an elderly parent or client. The material very sturdy and put together very well
Linda
Needed for back up to current sling.
Gilbert Herman
When we lifted myself as a test patient this made sounds like the threads were breaking even though we did not see damage. I returned it.
Alva Ameria
easy to use. My mother is 98 and bed ridden the sling make her feel safe .
Dave Grant
I liked that the patient side was smooth with no harsh stays. I would like the top (head rend) to have three loops rather than just two that aren’t that different in length. That would facilitate transfers in the sitting position.
Katherine
Works beautifully! Strong and sturdy! Works great for 200lb, 6’4” male with very little arm, torso or leg strength. So thankful to whomever designed this sling! It is a bit stiff, so sleeping with it underneath him isn’t really comfortable. But definitely perfect for transfers!!!
Chato
A very easy sling to use and clean.
DCL
We had a regular hammock type sling which was not very comfortable, so we chose this sling. Its shorter and a little easier to maneuver. It goes under the knees, as opposed to the other sling that went almost to the ankle and was much thinner. The fabric on this is nice and thick and a little better structured then the long sling. But the straps on the back were not attached all that well. Fortunately, I was able to reinforce them on my sewing machine. If you put any kind of torque the stitching begins to pull away. Not good! I use it almost everyday.

Perfectly safe and sized correct

I works for transfering my special needs daughter from point A to point B.

the lift loops are not color coded, they all look the same. Difficult to obtain sitting position for wheelchair. No instructions provided.Head support is good.
Lee
Product recommended by the physical therapist, and we are very happy with it. It is easy to put on and take off and we have safely moved my spouse with a minimum amount of fuss. Just takes a bit of planning and I love that it can be taken off until needed for the next transfer.
Ashley Brodeur
Easy to use

I"m sure i would have loved using this but family member passed before it arrived. would have made taking care of him easier.
Loyal to a fault
My husband suffered from a stroke and we are just now after 2 years able to use a sitting transfer sling and we are so pleased with it. He feels safe the large rounded back keeps him secure. If your loved one is able to sit with stability you both will like the ease of use.
Zelma H
This product will work better for someone else. Not a good fit for the person that I need it for. I also think that it may work better on a different hoyer lift that what I have. I have a four point lift and this one has an all in one on the sides with openings on the end as if you were trying to get them in a sitting position for the toilet or being put into the wheelchair. Again, I am sure that it works for someone else, just not for me.
Martha C.
I am able to get this around my husband very easily in a bed or sitting in a chair. It also works great if you need to sit someone on a toilet. Doesn't get in the way but holds the person secure. I use it with a 2-point Hoyer lift. My husband is 6' 3" and I'm 4'11" and it works great for us.
Brian & Samantha Fowler
If you know what this is, then you know how helpful they can be. The quality seems good, as the person we bought this for is quite heavy. Gives good support, and is as comfortable as can be expected. A life saver for falls.
Nena
This is wonderful. Easy to slip on and the neck support is great. Comes with instructions to use in 3 positions. Wish it had 2 more straps like the leg straps but i’m not complaining.
Michelle Balyeat
This was exactly what we needed. Worked a million times better than the one that came with our hoyer lift. Awesome product.

3 rd sling for mom. Best comfort not causing fear as she is moved from bed to chair
Savta
This was a perfect fit and easy to put on both while in bed and while sitting in the wheelchair.

I have a disabled husband and if he falls I can’t get him up and this makes it so easy!!

We use it with a Hoyer lift for my wife’s. It has a large surface area and creates a sense of safety that smaller slings lack.

Been in use for over a year with no problem.

This is exactly what I was looking for, and functions as expected. Unfortunately I was looking for something that could be used by a single person, but it really needs 2 people to do a safe patient transfer. That's probably my mistake, but it is very useful.

I use this to get my wife out of bed and sit in a chair.

We ordered the wrong size. My son fits the description for the small sling but there wasn't enough length for the straps to go under his legs. The sling doesn't really sit him up, it reclines him.
Wayne M
We have a Hoyer lift with its standard useless sling. We needed the lift to get someone out of a wheelchair, and the standard Hoyer slings can't be used for that. This sling allows this lifting easily, and the fact that it comes in a small size means there's not along of extra material to get in the way.

Friend’s mother has weakness on left side after stroke.

Es robusto y firme. Solo agregaría para mejorar, que el mismo fuera un poco más suave al contacto con la piel del paciente.

easy to use/very durable/washes nicely/would purchase again/fast shipping

We use this sling with a drive houer lift, and works just fine, easy to use

I have another sling that lifts under the arms, which puts some stress on the arms and shoulders. This sling is designed so that the arms are not directly involved. You can keep the arms inside the sling or through the sling straps, so no pressure on the arms or shoulders. It also has support for the head which my other sling does not.My other sling has a safety belt. This one does not. I'm not sure if that is a plus or minus. The safety belt puts some pressure on the upper chest and it does not seem to me to be very useful.

This was perfectly what we needed for our bedridden Grandma of almost 90. It made transferring her via medical lift so much easier.

Makes a lot of weird noises when lifting. Maybe The size I got was too small (medium) but it says it holds up to 600 lbs. I may end up getting the size large next time. The most annoying thing is the noises it makes.

Agree with another review - too stiff and hard to position under wife alone and with son's help. Was used for first time when wife fell during nursimg visit on February 17. Nurse succeeded with my help in positioning sling correctly. Provided very good back and body support. I was unable to position it when wife fell in garage on February 23rd. Had to call 911. Son and I couldn't get sling under her correctly on February 27th due to stiffness when wife fell again. Had to use our full body sling. I thought U sling would be easier for us to use. For us at least this wasn't the case. Sling is very sturdy and high quality. Just didn't work for us.

Wrong size did not realize it came in different sizes. Trying to buy a large for 6’ husband hoping the correct size will work perfectly

Disappointed. The patient slides out the bottom of the harness. Placed patient back in bed, adjusted, raised and again, patient was sliding out the bottom. We have used this style harness for two years. We are not rookies. Disappointed

I will use product for my husband. He is immobile in a hospital bed. I am his caregiver. The sling and lift will save my back.

I am writing this review mostly to pass along a lesson learned using this sling -- which is excellent, and our go-to sling for most purposes. We initially tried to position this sling so that the user -- an elderly woman with almost no muscle tone, who could not stand -- would be lifted up straight from her wheel chair and lowered in a sitting position onto a bedside toilet using the short loops at the head and long ones at the legs. Invariably, this caused two problems: 1) it put more pressure on her bladder by causing her to bend more in the middle, 2) because the opening was under her and she had no muscle tone, she would sometimes slide partway through the sling, coming close to sliding out of the sling. We found that it was better to use the longer straps near the head and the shorter straps near the legs. This causes her to be lifted up in a reclined position, which takes the pressure off of her bladder and holds her securely by providing better support under her center of gravity. We had to adapt our approach for lowering her because she was more reclined, but we made it work. The recommended approach, of course, is to have more than one person help with this kind of lift. That wasn't an option for us. This sling provided sufficient support and opening to make toileting possible with it. We found other slings with less support were not workable (or safe) for us, given the lack of muscle tone in the user.

Not enough support straps

I used it for transferring my mom from bed to the wheelchair and wheelchair to the bed. The material is good plus not creating so much heat when seating on it for a long time. It is safe and mom feels comfortable when transferring her.
allan pochop
Easy of rolling the patient on, once on the hoyer lift, the sling keeps patients legs apart for easy of cleaning. Once placed in a transport/wheel/shower chair unit is easy to remove.
Maria Teresa Loscos
It is a big improvement from the one we have been using
Rose De La Rosa
This product easy to place in position to lift but is stiff. Not comfortable in using sling because instructions dont specify what each hoop is for and where to hook it on hoyer lift.
Steven Martinez
We purchased this sling for our 200lb son. We have had many slings over the years and understand that the fabric and stitching is subject to wear and tear. This sling as shown in the pics needed additional stitching. At cross points where two straps intersect, the stitching was not complete. Our sons safety is extremely important to us so this was not only surprising but disappointing to discover. Fortunately we have limited access to the kind of sewing machine that can properly sew this type of fabric. This is a must if you are buying this sling.
Colby B.
Material was too thick, hard for a patient, especially an elderly patient.
DF
Very rough and scratchy straps. Plastic head support makes it hard to roll under patient in bed
FB
The sling is a little tight near the inner thighs as you're being lifted, but it's sturdy and works well. The headrest is great for ALS patients or those who can't hold up their head. There's also a convenient handle at the back of the sling which helps to put them in a proper sitting position while the Hoyer is lowered
gary colburn

to stiff and hard to put in place for us...will pass on this use

I got this because I thought it'd be versatile and easy to use for toileting and so on. You don't have to turn the person to get it on, but you do need to get it down far down behind their back so they need to be able to sit forward, which is not easy if they are somewhat bed-bound. Alternatively you can roll them over to get it under them. The material is a fabric but it has a very stiff something across the whole sling, which makes it quite rigid and not especially comfortable. Also it puts a lot of pressure/squeeze on the legs/thighs no matter how you configure the straps which isn't very pleasant for the person having to be in it for a while. I eventually replaced this with a invacare fabric solid full body sling.

The sling would be very good if it were not for the leg straps being too short for a medium. The person needing the sling does not have thick thighs, but they are also not slender or slim thighs. The sizing is off. I think I would suggest to users to go up one size.

When taking care of a loved one, the entire journey is a learning experience. I knew nothing about lifts and slings when it all started, but from my experience, the U-Sling is the way to go. There are so many slings out there in all sorts of configurations but for us, this variation was the best. It was so easy to get on and off. My husband could remain sitting the whole time the sling was being put on and taken off. All he had to do was lean forward to get this down the back as far as possible and then just have his legs lifted to get the leg straps under his legs. As long as I got it FAR down in the back and FAR up under the legs he said it was quite comfortable and well supported. Once he got where he was going, it was very easy to remove for him to sit comfortably. Removal of the sling was quite important so there were less chances for bumps and creases that might cause bed soars. Many of the slings, you can't get off in a seated position, so the U-sling was perfect.

So this was purchased for our almost 100lbs 12yo son. He's non ambulatory and we want to give him more independents in bathing ect... Currently only have a full sling so baths and potty are total unassisted lifts. My poor husband and his back. He never says a thing about lifting. But the mood he's in after says it all.Back to this sling in was too large for my son. Meaning the straps that go between the legs behind the knee were to wide. We folded in half. The other more troubling issue was that the seams and edges were so rough it's close to sharp. Maybe they soften with time.... Or maybe elderly peoples skin isn't paper thin but tough like leather. My son was nearly traumatized by this. I mean it's used for bathes.....
